Customer Signature Types for JSM
eSign for Jira Service Management now supports multiple Customer Signature Types, giving you more targeted control over external signature requests.
- Define custom Signature Types for external customers — e.g. "Requisition Approved", "Contract Verified" — rather than only the default "Customer Approval"
- Scope each type by Work Type, Request Type, Status, and Category — the same controls available for internal Signatures
- Invite Reporters and Participants to sign via the Invite dialog or Jira workflow automation
Existing JSM projects are unaffected — "Customer Approval" remains the default for all customers.

eSign is now available on the Atlassian Government Cloud for US Government / FedRAMP customers.
